Why is storms hair white

The Storm miniseries of fleshed out the journey they took together. It is established in the fourth issue that Storm and Black Panther lost their virginity to each other. There is a huge problem with this scene, however.

The original encounter between Storm and Black Panther was said to happen when they were both twelve, with later issues confirming this. This means that Marvel released a comic book that depicted two twelve-year-old children about to have sex for the first time. The X-Men comics have always been an allegory for any minority that is subject to prejudice. When the series was created in the '60s, the struggle of the mutant race was meant to reflect the civil rights movement of the time.

As time went on, the X-Men has come to reflect oppression of different sexualities in modern society. The first ever gay wedding in Marvel history happened in the pages of Astonishing X-Men, which was considered to be a milestone moment. Chris Claremont had originally intended for Storm to be bisexual.

He had wanted her to pursue a relationship with Yukio, with whom she seemed to have a physically close relationship. Claremont was not allowed to do this at the time, as Marvel would not admit that any of their characters were gay. Thankfully, this rule is no longer in effect. The question of which member of the X-Men first met Charles Xavier has been changed on numerous occasions.

When the X-Men first debuted, it was established that Cyclops, Iceman, Beast, and Angel were all members of the team and Jean Grey was meeting them for the first time. Later issues confirmed that Cyclops was the first official student at the Xavier Academy.

There have been numerous retcons since then about who Xavier met first. It was established that he met Sage on the day that he lost the use of his legs, which puts her ahead of the original team. As it currently stands: the first member of the X-Men that Xavier met was Storm. He was traveling through Egypt when she picked his pocket and ran off with his wallet.

Xavier used his powers to read her mind and was about to stop her, when the Shadow King interceded. The most famous adaptation of Storm is the one that is seen in the live action X-Men movies. She has mostly been played by Halle Berry, who seems to have retired from the role.

Storm was played by Alexandra Shipp in X-Men: Apocalypse , who appears to be on board for playing the character in future films. Halle Berry's performance as Storm has been polarizing among the fans.

This is partly due to the fact that she did a horrible African accent in the first movie, before abandoning it for the later films. Storm's role in X2 was greatly diminished from the first movie.

Halle Berry actually fought hard to have a bigger role in the third film and threatened to leave if she didn't get it. She clearly chose the wrong hill to climb, considering how terrible The Last Stand turned out to be. It was established early on that Storm has no problem with nudity.

This was played off as an aspect of her upbringing in Kenya, though it was actually a lame attempt to justify fan service. Storm had her own garden in Xavier's mansion, where she kept a range of flowers from across the world. She would often shed her clothes and use her powers to summon a rain storm, in order to feed her plants.

Storm accidentally showed more skin than she was supposed to in a reprint of an issue of Uncanny X-Men. In the issue, Storm leaves the shower and is kidnapped by Arcade. The original version of this issue was released in color. When the issue was reprinted as part of the Essentials collection, they reused the original black and white artwork for the pages.

Soon after, the X-Men encountered the underground community of mutants known as the Morlocks who had kidnapped one of their former members, Angel. To save her friends, Storm challenged the Morlock leader Callisto to a duel and bested her in hand-to-hand combat. As a result, Storm became leader of the Morlocks and she ordered them to cease their hostilities against the surface-dwelling humans.

When the X-Men later traveled to Japan to attend the wedding of their team member Wolverine, Storm first met the ninja named Yukio.

A friend of Wolverine's, Yukio was the most carefree spirit that Ororo had ever met and the two became lovers. Yukio influenced a major rebellious change in Storm's attitude towards life, and she took to wearing leather and shaved her hair into a Mohawk.

Storm later had her powers accidentally neutralized by a gun invented by the mutant machinist named Forge , who took it upon himself to nurse Storm back to health. During her convalescence, Storm and Forge fell in love but their relationship was cut short after Storm learned Forge had created the device that stripped her of her powers. Storm subsequently quit the X-Men and returned to Africa where she finally came to terms with losing her mutant ability. Their friends and families from their many enemies, the X-Men must fake their deaths and become an underground proactive strike force.

Soon Storm realized that she needed her powers restored and so she sought out Forge for his help. She found Forge's old mentor Naze instead, who informed her that Forge had been corrupted by his nemesis, the Adversary, and was seeking to destroy the world. Unbeknown to Storm, the Adversary had actually corrupted Naze. When Storm finally located Forge, she found him atop a mountain seemingly opening a dimensional portal filled with demons.

Storm struck Forge down, and only then realized he had been attempting to close the portal, not open it. The Adversary then trapped Storm and Forge in the other dimension and seized control of Dallas, warping time and space in order to foment chaos on Earth.

Storm and Forge spent a year on an alternate Earth, during which time they made peace and admitted their love for one another. Forge used components from his cybernetic leg to fashion a new device that restored Storm's powers which she then used to energize a portal back to their own world.

They rejoined the X-Men in time to defeat the Adversary, imprisoning him at the cost of their own lives. However, the Omniversal Guardian named Roma restored the X-Men to life, freeing the Adversary under the notion that there could be no order without chaos.

Soon after, Storm was captured by the crazed scientist known as Nanny who sought to use Storm's abilities in her quest to liberate the world's super-powered children by making orphans of them.

Nanny used her technology to de-age Storm to her pre-teens and strip her memories so as to better sway the mutant to her cause. However, Storm fought back and overloaded Nanny's device. Once more a child with no memories of her life as an X-Man, the young Storm returned to her life as a thief.

On one caper, she found herself the target of the psychic being known as the Shadow King but was saved by a fellow mutant and thief named Gambit. The pair formed a partnership and, after Storm regained her memories, she took Gambit to meet the X-Men. Storm was eventually restored to adulthood after the X-Men were captured by agents of the island nation of Genosha who used mutants as slaves. Storm underwent the mutate transformation process, however the Genoshan Genegineer and Chief Magistrate were members of a rebel faction.

They restored Storm's body and mind, and the X-Men were able to defeat their aggressors. Soon after, the X-Men were reformed into two separate strike teams, with Cyclops and Storm as co-leaders. Forge aided both teams as their resident technician, however this left little time for them to rekindle their relationship. Forge still asked Storm to marry him, but she hesitated on giving a reply. Forge was left thinking she did not truly love him and he left before she could respond with a "yes.

When the clock reached 18 seconds Doom threatened to kill the Queen mother. She is saved because someone jumped in her place to stop the bullet. But at the cost of his life. Storm finally manages to unlock the first lock. No Lando? I kind of took it as a given! Unless they are planning to bring him into the second movie just like in the originals. But no Lando would be a travesty to the Star Wars universe.

But please don't make it about him being black. That should have nothing to do with it. All that matters is that he is an iconic character played by a fantastic actor and he deserves as much respect as every other cast member. The premise of this column is ludicrous on its face: "most important cast member left out".

I would pay good money for a Lando solo movie with a sweet blaxploitation soundtrack. Remember that in October Michael Arndt left the project as a writer and Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan taking over scripting duties. Reportedly there were some massive rewrites, which were pushing production back, causing Abrams to be concerned about the release date. I have to wonder if Lando was a victim of the rewrites? They actually declared the Expanded Universe non-canon.

It exists as it's own continuity, and they've started a new canon including the movies and any official content made from now on. A lot of the charisma and atmosphere of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi revolve around the Lando character.

To not bring him back borders on insanity or senility. There is one problem about Lando as a regular. He was not in Star Wars chapter 4.

Then he appeared half way into The Empire Strikes Back. He became a major character in Return of the Jedi. James Earl Jones voice as Darth Vader. In the world of X-Men comics, mutant powers are a surprisingly fragile thing. Many X-Gene carrying mutants have found themselves depowered over the years because of a variety of situations.

For Storm, it all started with a neutralizing gun. Storm took the loss of her powers extremely hard. Her ability to control the weather was an ingrained part of her identity. Unlike most depowered superheroes, Storm lived without her mutant ability for a surprisingly long time. To this day, losing her powers again is one of her biggest anxieties. When Storm first joined the X-Men and moved to the United States, she struggled with the unfamiliar customs and language.

Before joining the team, she had already endured so much, but nothing could really prepare her for life in '70s New York. Fortunately for her, one of the founding members of the X-Men, Jean Grey, was willing to take her under her wing. Jean showed Storm how to live life in America, and, perhaps more importantly, how to live life in America as a mutant. The two became fast friends and, over the years, have served on multiple X-Men teams together. She can move atoms in a multitude of ways to create different kinds of weather patterns, from massive thunderstorms to snowy blizzards.

When underwater, she can then use that oxygen to breathe while fully submerged. The Fantastic Four sees regular roster changes. Before leaving, they called in the recently married Storm and Black Panther to take their places on the team. Most comic book characters have traumatic origin stories, but Storm has one of the worst. Because of what she experienced as a child, Storm grew an intense fear of tight, enclosed spaces. When she joined the X-Men, her claustrophobia frequently endangered her teammates.

Not wanting to let the X-Men down, Storm gradually learned how to kick her childhood fear.
